Universal principles have timeless value and offer a way to confidently navigate the modern world. We’ll look at the origins and contemporary relevance of six ancient yogic principles, and study passages from the Vedas and other texts from the Indian subcontinent. The course integrates ideas from history, philosophy, ecology, literature, activism, and religion. You’ll be encouraged to keep a journal throughout the class and to complete suggested reflection questions between classes.
